I recently requested from the Education Funding Agency a list of academy schools (or academy trusts) that are members of the Risk Protection Arrangement. The RPA is a comprehensive government-backed alternative to insurance. Membership is open to all academies and free schools.
EFA has (after some back and forth) agreed that the list may be re-used in accordance with the Open Government Licence, and I am releasing a copy for download here in order to make it open data. The list is in Excel format and supplied as received.
According to my calculations about 55% of academies are currently RPA members.
